There are three main types of bathtubs; whirlpool bathtubs, soaking bathtubs, and walk-in bathtubs.  Whirlpool tubs have jets that circulate the water and provide a water massage, soaking tubs have no jets and simply hold water, walk-in bathtubs have doors that allow a person to step into a bathtub rather than having to step over a ledge.  There are many sizes, shapes, materials, and designs of bathtubs to fit any preference.
