Tank or tank-less?

When choosing your next water heater, consider a tank-less water heater. Although initial tank-less installation is more expensive, these units offer many advantages over tank units. Don't merely make the decision based on price. Not all tankless units are made the same, nor will they perform the way you want them to. We have experience with all kinds of models and prefer to install Rinnai, Rheem, and Noritz.

With a tankless water heater, you can enjoy never-ending hot water. You know that when you turn on the faucet, you will have hot water and will never have to wait for a tank to reheat.

Tankless water heaters can help save money on your gas bill. Unlike tank units that constantly heat and reheat, whether you are using them or not, a tankless unit only heats the water when in use. Gas isn't wasted to keep a tank up to temperature.

Tankless water heaters save space. They can be mounted on any wall, in a closet, or in a cabinet. Not having a tank allows these units to be much more compact and can be installed in areas that tank-type water heaters cannot.

Tank-less water heaters, when properly maintained and cared for, have a life expectancy of 20 years, with many offering a 5-year warranty on parts and a 12-15-year warranty on the heat exchanger. In comparison, you have a life expectancy of 8 years with a 6-year warranty on most tank-type water heaters.

Tank-less water heaters greatly reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere and are 83% – 99% efficient, making them green, energy-efficient products.
